Residents of Eelde are asked to think along about the development of their own centre. From June 30, several walk-in sessions will take place, where residents can share their thoughts on ‘master plan Eelde’. But the first opportunity to think along will be given to the residents of Eelde next Saturday at the Jaarmarkt.

Hardly any investments have been made in the center of Eelde in recent years. The municipality of Tynaarlo therefore believes that the village could use a quality boost. During a municipal council meeting in May, council members got into a discussion about whether or not Eelde is a ‘war zone’. Big words or not, the shared opinion is that something really needs to change in Eelde.

The municipality of Tynaarlo has now engaged consultancy and design agency includi to work on a master plan for the center of Eelde. The green in the village must be considered, but also parking, living, shops and, for example, a library and museums.

Includi wants to collect the opinion of Eelde residents for this. “Which need is greatest among Eelde residents? We would like to know this. We process the collected data in a report that will form the basis for the proposal of the master plan for Eelde,” says Aat Vos on behalf of the agency.
