MyTrustO – which provides debt counseling – speaks of a ‘tsunami of new cases’ and is starting a special helpline for those who have energy debts. “It is distressing,” says bailiff Patrick Van Buggenhout. “The advance invoices are going up by hundreds of euros per month and especially single-parent families are no longer getting paid.”
