The French woman Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (Visma-Lease A Bike) surprisingly secured victory in the cobblestone racing Paris-Roubaix Femmes. The 33-year-old, who had only returned to road cycling this year, celebrated her first classic victory in Roubaix’s legendary Velodrom.

The Mountain Bike Olympic champion of Paris had left around 20 kilometers before the finish and won her Paris Roubaix debut with a 58-second lead. The second was the Italian Letizia Borghesi, third the Dutchman Lorena Wiebes.

Favorite Kopecky in twelve

Defending champion Lotte Kopecky, who had triumphed last Sunday at the Flanders Tour and was considered a great favorite this year, finished twelfth (+2: 04 min). The best German was Romy Kasper (Human Powered Health), who took 16th place (+2: 50 min.).

Ferrand-Prévot has been successful in the past few years. One of the greatest successes achieved her at the Olympic Games in Paris – she won the mountain bike race in front of a home crowd. In 2022, the French woman won the title at the first Gravel World Cup, also in the cyclocross and in the street race at the beginning of her career, she won the World Cup title-Ferrand-Prévot has already won 15 World Cup titles.
