According to the statement made by the Turkish Football Federation, the Italian coach, who continues his visits to Trendyol Super League clubs, was the guest of Kasımpaşa.
Montella went to the navy-white club’s Turgay Ciner Sports Facilities in Kemerburgaz and met with CEO Serkan Reçber and coach Sami Uğurlu. Assistant coach Daniele Russo, who is in Montella’s team, athletic performance coach Pierpaolo Polino, analysis coach Massimo Crivellaro, A and Under-21 National Team Administrative Manager Mert Tuncay and National Teams Communications Manager Türker Tozar were also present during the visit.
Montella, who received information from Reçber and Uğurlu about the structure and working principles of the club and team, stated to the duo, with whom he exchanged ideas about Turkish football, that they meticulously follow every player who is eligible to play in the crescent-star team.
Montella also gave information about the preparation process of the National Team for the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024).
After the meeting, Montella toured the facilities and examined all sections, stating that having such exemplary modern facilities is very important for the development of Turkish football and thanked Kasımpaşa club officials for their hosting and close attention.
During the facility tour, Vincenzo Montella also watched the match played between Kasımpaşa 19 Team and Karadeniz Ereğli Belediyespor, one of the Regional Amateur League teams, for a while.
Reçber and Uğurlu stated that they were pleased with Montella’s visit and presented him with a Kasımpaşa jersey.
