The number of infections with the monkeypox virus in the Netherlands has increased to 40. That is 14 more than on Monday, when 26 cases were known to the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). The institute released an update on the virus on Thursday. All patients are still men, a spokesperson said.
