In a series of holiday photos, Monique looks back on the past few weeks in the States. She writes: “Florida, you were lovely! We had so much fun together, in peace. It was very special to receive messages from the home front stating that we would be a couple again and even get married. Man, how much nonsense is taken for truth these days!”
She then lists what the family has experienced in the sunny state. “We’ve traveled, swam, ate, walked on the beach, visited amusement parks, swam with wild manatees, went to a concert, and ate more! In short, very nice memories made.”
At the beginning of April, Monique announced, with a photo at Schiphol, that the family was going abroad to spend some time together. “We’re just checking out. With and for each other. The past year has been a rollercoaster for all of us. There is now peace, but due to external factors there is little opportunity to experience this together. To see what form we need as a family, we will be together in the coming weeks. The most important thing for us in this is that our son can spend time with both mom and dad in complete freedom where we can be ourselves together!”
