Her prince wasn’t rich enough for Meghan.
When Duchess Meghan (41) met her future husband Prince Harry (39), she is said not to have been happy about his financial situation. Apparently she believed he had billions in the account – and was taught otherwise.
At least that’s what author Tom Bower, who wrote the book “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors” wrote in 2022, now claims.
“Their great surprise and disappointment was that Prince Harry had very little money,” Bower toldDailyMail“. Meghan is truly “obsessed with money”.
“She had imagined that he would be worth hundreds of millions, if not billions, and now she has to make up for it.” And she does.
As a working member of the British royal family, she could never achieve a lifestyle that Meghan had imagined.
Bower: “Meghan wants to drive in the big Cadillacs, the private jets on command. Right now she has to scrape these things herself.”
In 2021, a year after moving to the United States, Forbes put Harry and Meghan’s net worth at $10 million, including what’s left of Harry’s legacy from his late mother, Princess Diana. Added to this was the equity the couple owns in their mansion in Montecito, California.
Apparently still not enough for Meghan. Hence the numerous media deals.
That’s how rich the Sussexes got from media deals
► First, the two signed a contract with the audio streaming service Spotify for 23 million euros.
► Even more lucrative was her deal with streaming broadcaster Netflix, which, according to “Forbes”, paid an estimated 94 million euros for cooperation on the documentary “Harry and Meghan”.
► Harry is said to have received another 37 million euros for his memoirs. Added to this are the proceeds from the three TV interviews that Harry gave for the publication of his biography.
