The British eyewear company Mondottica announced a new partnership with the Design Eyewear Group on Tuesday. As part of the agreement, the Danish company has taken over the distribution of the Hackett, Pepe Jeans London, Scotch & Soda and Ted Baker eyewear collections in Germany and Austria since October 6th.
Mondottica therefore relies on continuity. The collections of the four brands will continue to be looked after by the “agents of the former sales partner Menrad” in the two markets, according to a statement. In the summer following Menrad’s bankruptcy, the Design Eyewear Group took over key business areas of the German eyewear manufacturer, including the brand of the same name.
Lars Flyvholm, CEO of Design Eyewear Group, acknowledged the new partnership: “It is a pleasure for us to work with Mondottica Group and further increase the availability of its attractive portfolio of premium fashion brands that are so well received in the German and Austrian eyewear market,” he said in a statement.
