Mohamed Salah wins England’s Player of the Year for the second time

Egyptian Mohamed Salah has been voted England’s player of the year by his fellow footballers.

The 29-year-old Liverpool FC forward has won the election conducted by the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) for the second time.

Salah scored 23 goals last season, level with Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung-Min Son.

The noble technician prevailed against Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), Harry Kane (Tottenham) and his Liverpool teammates Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mané, who were also nominated.

Antonio Rüdiger, who is moving from Chelsea to Real Madrid for the new season, was voted into the team of the season.
