The British were probably a little (too). Since today (April 20), this has been announced what Robert Smith only wanted to give birth to the Cure on Monday (April 21), his 66th birthday: a new remix album from The Cure. “Mixes of a Lost World”, a name decline in the last studio album “Songs of a Lost World”.

According to Amazon.co.uk, the work will appear on June 13th and in various configurations. The product description shared: “Designed and compiled by Robert Smith. New remix collection from the album ‘Songs of a Lost World’ from 2024, with remixes by Four Tet, Paul Oakenfold, Orbital and others.”

The formats: “Double CD in the 6-page Digisleeve with fold-out CD poster.” Plus the info where the income is going: “All Royalties from” Mixes of a Lost World “was to be given to Child. At least £ 1 per sold physical product and £ 1 per download are donated. ”

There are two remixes of each of the eight tracks of the “Songs of a Lost World” plate, with a different tracklist from the original album.

The tracklist of “Mixes of a Lost World”:

The publication of “Mixes of a Lost World” is good news – and also a bad one. On the one hand, Cure fans are happy about every new output. Remixes are a challenge for goth-rock songs, so it applies: “You can be excited”.

On the other hand, Robert Smith had promised a new studio album, ie the successor to “Songs of a Lost World”. Since this remix album comes in June, a new work with new songs should not be expected so quickly at first. Not that Robert Smith is not used to disappointment …
