A 75-year-old Ukrainian missing in Eichwalde (Dahme-Spreewald) has reappeared in Poland.
The 75-year-old Olha P. was found healthy by the local police in a hostel in Szczecin (Stettin) in Poland after a citizen’s tip.
The pensioner stated that she wanted to return to her home country, the police said on Wednesday. She had been reported missing by her family in Eichwalde since the weekend.
Since then, police officers have been looking for the elderly woman with rescue dogs, a police helicopter and drones. The refugee from the Ukraine war lives with her daughter, who her mother described as probably traumatized and disoriented.
