Arturo was delivered from the sea to the reef and Betta and Nuccia, prostitutes, friends of the mother beaten to death by the “protector” take care of him.
Like a mute dervish, Arturo grows up between rubbish and unconditional loveprotected from the threats of the predator, integrated into the large and brutal theatrical-cinematic family of the Palermo director.

Taken from the show of the same name, written by Dante herself, a film made of dancing and torn bodies who, in the move from the stage to the set, perhaps lose part of their energy. But Emma Dante’s world is always on the side of myth and there are no emergency exits.
