Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “red pants”.

Can the HSV still rely on Miro Muheim in the season finale? The left -back has been missing for two weeks because of a muscle fiber tear. Coach Merlin Polzin is optimistic: “With Miro Muheim we hope that he will be partially integrated into the team next week,” he said in a media round on Tuesday. At best, the Swiss could already celebrate its comeback at the away game in Darmstadt (May 3). He is still training individually.

In addition, another injured left -back makes surprisingly quick progress: “Nicolas Oliveira, in consultation with the medical department and did a little faster in consultation with the medical department than would normally have been the case,” said Merlin Polzin. Oliveira has been training with the team again since Tuesday. He could be an alternative for the home game against Karlsruher SC on Sunday.

As of summer, Liése Brancão will take over the head coaches in the HSV women. The 43-year-old brings plenty of experience and title and follows Marwin Bolz, with whom the association has agreed mutually to separate at the end of the season.

“I am very much looking forward to the task in Hamburg and can’t wait to get started. There is a lot of potential in the team that we want to continue developing together from summer,” said Brancão in a message from the association.

The Brancão from Novo Hamburgo was active as a player in Brazil before she ran for the USV Neulengbach in Austria between 2004 and 2012. This was followed by stations at Ferroviária Futebol S/A in her home country and at the USC Landhaus Vienna, where she switched to the sidelines as an assistant in 2014. A year later she took over the position of head coach.

In 2016 Brancão moved to SKN St. Pölten. There she shaped an extremely successful era in the following years: seven championship titles, seven cup wins and three group phase participants followed in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. She is currently completing training as a UEFA-Pro license.

“Liése has impressively showed in recent years that she can develop teams sustainably,” emphasized Saskia Breuer, coordinator of women’s football at HSV. “Your professional competence, your clear game idea and her authentic, open manner convinced us in exchange. Liése fits our way – we look forward to working.”

Brancão receives support from a proven team: assistant coach Eren Şen and goalkeeper coach Sascha Kirschstein will remain with the HSV.

On Saturday, Mehmet Aydin played for Schalke 04 against HSV for 60 minutes. In the coming summer, however, the 23-year-old could change pages: Hamburgers should deal with an obligation, the Turkish branch reported from “Transfer market”.

Aydin’s contract on Schalke expires at the end of June – the right outdoor car player would therefore be free on the market. He can play as a right -back, but also hold the more offensive positions on the wing. However: Bundesliga club Werder Bremen as well as the Turkish first division clubs Besiktas and Basaksehir should also be interested in Mehmet Aydin.

The 23-year-old born in Würselen comes from the Schalke youth. For the S04 professionals, he has been running in 71 competitive games so far (one goal, four templates). The 2023/24 season spent Mehmet Aydin on loan at Trabzonspor in Turkey (23 missions).

In the guest block of Hamburger SV, it became bright in the second division away game against FC Schalke 04 after around an hour: some of the fans who traveled with us ignite pyrotechnics. But it didn’t remain. Fireworks flew on the lawn and towards the home fans. Referee Harm Osmers had to briefly interrupt the game and send the players off the pitch.

HSV sports director Stefan Kuntz has no understanding for the action of parts of the Hamburg attachment. “There is a red line within the fan scene and it is exceeded when pyrotechnics leave the hand and thus become uncontrollable and dangerous,” he told the “Abendblatt”.
