Minors will soon be banned from Klarna and other ‘buy now, pay later’ apps: Minister Beenders tightens rules

‘Buy now, pay later’ (BNPL) apps such as Klarna will now be obliged not to allow minors to use their services. “Minors will therefore no longer be able to take out loans. Until now, it has been far too easy to do so, even though it is prohibited,” Minister of Consumer Protection Rob Beenders (Vooruit) said on Monday.
