Minister calls bird flu a permanent threat after a series of new infections

At poultry farms in Biddinghuizen (Flevoland) and fire (Gelderland) bird flu has been diagnosed, reports the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) Tuesday. They are already the eighth and ninth finds since the beginning of this year. Minister Henk Staghouwer (Agriculture) now calls bird flu a permanent threat to the poultry sector.
