Mine goes viral.
Mine is no longer only known for her German pop music, but also for her lip sync reactions to problematic and misogynistic statements on Instagram. Starting with Aleks Petrovic from reality TV, she has now also taken on her music colleagues – because they have also delivered one or two cross-border takes and song lyrics.
From Prince Pi, who speaks sexistically about women in rap in an interview, to Udo Lindenberg, who once sang an entire track about being attracted to a 14-year-old: Mine turns the laptop screen towards the camera and speaks the lyrics unmoved.
Cro and Udo Lindenberg in focus
Her most viral videos are those for Cro and Udo Lindenberg. For example, Cro texts: “Am I bad because I don’t text girls because she’s stupid, say eh, eh, am I bad because I don’t text girls because she’s a bit stupid and then do it because she’s beautiful… These Instagram hoes, dude, it’s so bad, you keep falling for it because you’re so beautiful and so creamed and so smooth.”
Mine shares excerpts from it and shows misogynistic statements from popular artists, brings earlier tracks back to the foreground and thus starts a new discourse around them.
With Udo Lindenberg, she focused on the video for the song “Nina” – a song that he released in 1976 about a fourteen-year-old while he was 30 himself.
Part of the lyrics goes like this: “It’s better, Nina, if you go now. Because you’re only fourteen. Your parents are probably already waiting for you. Come on, you have to go now. We shouldn’t see each other again for now. Because it’s too dangerous. I almost kissed you today. Nina, it’s a shame you’re not sixteen yet.”
In a video interview with “radioeins”, Mine commented on the clips with the words: “No woman would dare to say something like that.”
Mine on tour
The singer, songwriter and music producer from Stuttgart also wants to go on an extensive tour from the beginning to the end of November 2026. There is also a special reason for mentioning the new live dates: Mine has announced her next record. The successor to the 2024 LP BAUM will be called KILLER, just like the associated concert series.
