73 percent are considering buying

As the adoption of cryptocurrencies continues, the interest of the wealthy has also been piqued. According to financial advisory organization DeVere Group, 73 percent of millionaires already own crypto assets or plan to do so by the end of 2022. This means that the number of wealthy people who are optimistic about cryptocurrencies has risen significantly: In a survey in 2019, only 68 percent of those surveyed held digital assets or planned to do so in the future.

Strong price development arouses interest

It is in particular the positive development of the Bitcoin price that arouses the interest of wealthy private individuals. After all, the cyber motto has increased in price by around 150 percent this year and even reached new record highs. This development is attracting the attention of wealthy investors, said Nigel Green, CEO and founder of the DeVere Group. Wealthy investors would come to realize that digital currencies “are the future of money. They want to move with the times.”

700 millioners interviewed

The survey surveyed 700 people with assets of more than £1 million. Participants were wealthy individuals from many parts of the world: the US, UK, Asia, Africa, the Middle East as well as Australia and Latin America.
