The province is allocating just under a million euros for the renovation of four cycle paths. These are cycle paths in the municipalities of Noordenveld, Hoogeveen, Coevorden and Emmen.
These cycle paths will be widened, paved and improved, so that they are then suitable for bicycles, e-bikes, speed pedelecs, cargo bicycles and wheelchair bicycles. These are bicycle paths De Bolmert (municipality of Noordenveld), Kerkhoflaan (Hoogeveen), Gelpenberg (Coevorden) and Rundedal (Emmen).
In total, the province has made 3 million euros available this year to tackle cycle paths. Twelve cycle paths have been used for this, and if it is up to the province, four more cycle paths will be added.
