The Italian champion SSC Napoli is about to be the next transfer-and, depending on the transfer model, crack the 100 million euro brand for newcomers for the third time in a row. According to the matching media reports, agreement with Ligarival FC Turin was achieved by the change from goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić. The 28-year-old is to complete the medical check at the weekend and then sign his contract.
For Milinković-Savić, brother of the long-time Lazio professional Sergei Milinković-Savić (30, al-Hilal), Napoli pays a transfer fee according to 21 million euros. The sum is therefore above the exit clause in the 19-time Serbian international with Torino in 2026. These could have dragged the Azzurri for 19 million euros, but would then have to pay the amount in one fell swoop this summer.
Four transfer rates have now been agreed, reports, among others, Fabrizio Romano. At “Sky Italia” it is also said that Milinković-Savić should initially be borrowed with obligation to buy. Then the transfer in the transfer market overview would only appear in the coming year and the sum for new additions would initially remain below the 100-million euro mark. Sam Beukema (26), Noa Lang (26) and Co. have so far cost 74.1 million euros. During the transfer of striker Lorenzo Lucca (24), Napoli had already pushed the majority of the transfer – 26 million of a total of 35 million euros – as part of a loan with obligation to buy. In return, striker Cyril Ngonge (25) switched to granata with a purchase option over 17 million euros.
The 2.02 meter tall Milinković-Savić has been under contract with Torino since 2017 and has held a regular place since the 2021/22 season. In 158 games he stayed 52 times without conceding a goal and had to grab 163 times. Above all in the past season, he was one of the best goalkeepers in series A and convinced with outstanding parades again and again. Milinković-Savić increased its market value from 5 million euros during this period. He is now in the competition with the two -time master goalkeeper Alex Meret (28), who had extended his expiring contract at the end of June to 2027.
