Milan to Investcorp, reuters confirmations: it will close in days

The signing that would sanction the transfer of ownership will also soon arrive for the Reuters agency. And the figure would rise again: we are talking about 1.18 billion euros

White smoke in sight. Not that there were many doubts now. And white smoke in a short time. Perhaps as early as the end of this week, when AC Milan could (should) change ownership for the third time in the last five years.

Highest figure

If in the last few hours the date of Friday 29 April had emerged as a possible day for signing (i.e. the signatures on the preliminary sales contract), today further confirmations arrive. For example, from the international news agency Reuters, which cites sources close to the negotiation and speaks of April 29. A sensible date also because on the 30th – a Saturday – the exclusive negotiation period between Elliott and Investcorp will expire. A formal deadline but, from what it filters, not an insurmountable dead line. In other words, if the signatures did not arrive on Friday, they would move without particular problems to the first days of next week. But pay attention to the figure: Reuters talks about a 1.18 billion euro deal (1.26 billion dollars), therefore higher than the one billion and 100 million that has been talked about in recent days.
