Milan: Hines’ first student residence opens in Italy

M.While universities are trying to increase their colleges for off-campus, in the face of an increasingly strong demand, private individuals are also moving in the same direction: the Hines Group has just officially inaugurated in the Bocconi area, in the former warehouse of the Rinascente warehouses , the new student residence Aparto Milan Juvenal15th residence in Europe of the company (the next will be in Barcelona), but first in Italy.

Already open for a few months to 400 international students, it will welcome up to 600 from September, with prices starting from 600 euros per month in a double room. The formula is very innovative, sustainable, modern: the aim is to create an inclusive and international community, with many common spaces but also individual, stimulating spaces. There is a gym, yoga studio, laundry services, cinema, game rooms and outdoor spaces. But that’s not all: psychological support services are provided to help children in difficulty. On the roof apicolturaurbana.it has already installed beehives to help safeguard biodiversity.

The residence, near Bocconi University, is open to all students, and well connected by public transport. In the future, the Hines group (real estate investment company) will open another one in the Ripamonti area and it will not be the only private initiative of this kind, because there are many more in the pipeline, on the land of the former railway yards.

Milan, the university city par excellence, needs student residences, with clear and acceptable prices, and services up to par.
