Lara Colturi will be the flag bearer of Albania in the inaugural ceremony in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The nineteen-year-old from Piedmont, who chose to compete with Albania when moving up to the seniors three seasons ago, is the daughter of Daniela Ceccarelli, Olympic super-G champion in Salt Lake City 2002. This season Lara has collected 4 podiums in slalom (two second and two third places) and was sixth in giant slalom in Kranjska Gora.
Opening the parade of athletes in Milan will be Armenia with skaters Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmann. In Cortina the first to parade will be Colturi, while at the end the blue standard-bearers will enter the scene: Arianna Fontana and Federico Pellegrino in Milan, Federica Brignone and Amos Mosaner in Cortina.
