Athlete Mikky Keetels from Schijndel has won the Vancouver marathon. The 27-year-old marathon champion completed the 42.195 kilometers in a time of 2:33:01, well under the old course record of 2:34:27.
This made her 24 seconds faster than Dayna Pidhoresky from Canada, who had won the marathon a year earlier.
Keetels won her Dutch title in the marathon three weeks ago. The athlete then finished the Rotterdam marathon in a personal record of 2.30.42. After the Rotterdam marathon, she announced that she would also compete in the triathlon in June.
Full-time flight attendants train all over the world
The full-time flight attendant wants to become a professional athlete, she said last month. De Schijndelse says she has a dream job as a flight attendant. She flies all over the world and therefore trains in all kinds of cities and special places.
“Before my flight, I look online and via ChatGPT to see which training sessions I can schedule. What is the weather like there, where is it safe and what are nice routes?” She wants to work part-time to devote more time to her career as an athlete.
