Mikko Rantanen’s treatment is enraging on social media – “Sacred desecration”

The Colorado Avalanche think the Finnish star’s record season deserves more recognition.

Rantanen scored 55+50=105 in 82 regular season matches. He broke Colorado’s single-season scoring record.

The Finnish striker received only two points in the vote, being in 12th place.

Several supporters pointed out how important the Finn’s top season was, because the team’s superstar Gabriel Landeskog has been sidelined all season.

MacKinnon scored 111 power points alongside Rantanen and got 14 points on the NHL preliminary list.

No ambiguity

McDavid was the overwhelming number one on the list with 80 points. The Edmonton Oilers superstar scored an incredible 153 points (64+89) in 82 regular season games, the most since Mario Lemieuxand the season 1995–1996.

The attacker scored at least one point in 75 matches. At least two points were scored in 23 games.

– I have not seen anything similar. He does that year after year, but I feel like he’s only getting better. I don’t know if it’s possible, but it feels like it, Rantanen commented.

In Boston, the player Pastrnak scored 61+52=113. Tkachuk scored 40 goals and provided 69 assists in the Panthers shirt.

A total of 14 players received votes. The Finnish guard of the Nashville Predators Juuse Saros got four pins and was 11th.
