Ilta-Sanomat reportedthat the prosecutor demands a hockey player For Mikko Rantanen Penalty for unauthorized absence from military service.
Finland’s 28-year-old NHL star had to work at the Guards’ Iceberg Regiment Sports School on April 15, 2024 no later than 4pm.
According to the prosecutor’s description, Rantanen did not report, but instead applied for a deferral late at the start time. The application was approved on 16 April.
Despite the approved postponement, the prosecutor considers that Rantanen has committed an unauthorized absence.
According to IS, the prosecutor demands 10-15 daily fines and could mean a fine of up to € 84,750 with Rantanen’s income.
Rantanen moved from Colorado Avalanche to the Dallas Stars through the Carolina Hurricanes last season. With the Stars, he signed an eight -year and $ 96 million contract.
At the time of the incident, the striker from Nousiainen still represented Avalanche.
