The New England Patriots are currently in the middle of the rebuild after two 4-13 season and a new coaching change. Team owner Robert Kraft now excluded an ambitious goal for the upcoming NFL season.

When asked what the next season would make a success for New England, Kraft simply replied this week at the league meeting: “To reach the playoffs.” The reason for this optimism can also be found primarily in Mike Vrabel’s commitment.

“We have the privilege of having a head coach that has a lot of experience and really provided a great atmosphere,” enthused strength from the new Patriots trainer. “I remember him as a player and his fighting spirit. He has developed as an individual by having this lead, but is also able to develop a feeling for the team and this cohesion.”

Although Vrabel is less than three months in office, his impact can also be felt on top of that. “It is unusual that everyone in the team feels that he is someone with whom you can identify with, who cooperates and put the team in the first place. This really created a great feeling of camaraderie,” said Kraft.

NFL veteran speaks of “brutal” time

In the 83-year-old, the hope was awakened that after three years of absence, the Patriots will make the leap to the post office again. “I think that’s fair, yes. Since I have the team, it has been our goal to reach the playoffs. Because as soon as you reach the playoffs, everything can happen,” said Kraft.

“I think we have found out how it succeeds in recent decades. The most important thing is to win games,” emphasized the Patriots owner. “The past two years have been really brutal. I wanted to do everything to create a system and a situation in which we have a chance to achieve something. I really think we’re on the right track now.”
