Ski legend was released on Thursday Mika Myllylä narrative Mika Myllylä’s life (Big Dipper). The book is written by Mika Wickström.
The writer says he has received a call about a year ago as a Myllylä manager for a long time Ismo from Väänänen. The proposal for writing a book came as a complete surprise.
– I hadn’t come to mind. I thought it was a baby how this could go like this that someone finds me.
The author says his relationship with Myllylä has been neutral in this life and career.
– I’m not the actual ski people. The departure for the project was empathetic, the author describes.
– Maybe it’s good that I haven’t been too close, he adds.
Wickström says he was enthusiastic about hearing that the consent to the book had been given by the parents of Myllylä Pirkko and Jouko Myllylä mixed Pile-sister.
– It turned out that they would finally be ready to tell their story.
Finally
At the beginning of the book, Väänänen reveals that it was agreed at the Myllylä funeral that “Myllylä’s rising in the media will end”. The decision was to respect the parents and sister of Myllylä.
– Every other year, I asked Pirkko and a group every other year. The answer was always negative. A year ago, for the first time I got the idea of green light.
Väänänen states that the book should have been made a long time ago.
– We would have avoided many misunderstandings.

Ex-wife refused
Wickström says that the only person who refused for an interview for the book was the former wife of Myllylä Suvi Paavola (formerly Myllylä).
– All the other interviewees came along.
Wickström continues that Paavola has not been in contact with him since the refusal of the interview.
– We respected each other, I didn’t go to the interview myself.
– I’d really like to interview, but he didn’t want to.
Also, Väänänen has not been involved with Paavola or Myllylä children.
– It has been described in the book. I haven’t been involved.

Only the eldest, from the children of Myllylä, has been interviewed in the book, Benjami Myllylä. Wickström justifies his choice at the age of children.
– Father [Mika Myllylä] Died in 2011 and the children were born in the autumn of 1996, 1999 and 2001 in the spring. I calculated for years that the eldest can already remember.
Another book is also underway in Myllylä, to be published in September Fallen legend – Mika Myllylä (Oak). Wickström says he has heard of another book at an early stage.
– It made me think a little, but I think this is my project. These hurt and happen.
