Mika Godts sidelined for months at Ajax with a thigh injury | All the news about Ajax

Ajax will not have access to attacker Mika Godts in the coming months. The 18-year-old Belgian is struggling with an upper leg injury.

Godts sustained the injury on Friday during Jong Ajax’s draw at FC Den Bosch (3-3). Nevertheless, he played the entire match and made it 3-3 from a penalty just before the end. Examination on Tuesday revealed the severity of the injury.

Godts played five league games for the first team this season as a substitute. He also played twelve times for Jong Ajax in the Kitchen Champion Division. Godts exchanged the Belgian club KRC Genk for Ajax in January. Last summer he extended his contract in Amsterdam by two years until mid-2027.

In addition to Godts, Jong Ajax will also not be able to call on Diyae Jermoumi for a long time. The 19-year-old defender underwent surgery on his knee on Monday.
