In the debate about the future of Mick Schumacher, former Formula 1 driver Timo Glock sees his Haas racing team and team boss Günther Steiner as responsible.
“Mick had a harder time in the first half of the season, had one or two accidents. But then there was a clear upward trend. He had his teammates under control and scored points,” Glock said on the sidelines of the Singapore Grand Prix at “Sky”. back to Schumacher’s second year in Formula 1.
The bottom line is that the 23-year-old “showed everything you need to show to draw attention to yourself and make a clear statement for the contract,” said Glock. “No one really knows what Günther Steiner is waiting for in the end.”

The last vacant places at AlphaTauri, Alpine and Williams are said to have been filled by other drivers in the meantime.
Steiner has publicly criticized the German several times in recent weeks and months and is hesitant to extend the contract – allegedly also because compatriot Nico Hülkenberg is said to be a hot candidate for Haas.
