Michael van Gerwen actually wants to celebrate Dutch King’s Day. A video now shows that this plan was violently thwarted.
Michael van Gerwen was brutally attacked. According to “Sun”, the 37-year-old darts professional actually wanted to celebrate Dutch King’s Day in Den Bosch. However, there was a discussion in front of a club, and van Gerwen then received a punch from a man. This can be seen in a video circulating on social media.
Immediately after Michael van Gerwen received his fist, it briefly looked as if the Dutchman wanted to pursue the attacker and attack him in turn. However, van Gerwen was held back by security personnel.

For van Gerwen it is not the first time that he has been involved in a nighttime altercation. There had already been an uproar surrounding van Gerwen at a kebab shop in December last year. He was involved in a fight at the time and later told Darts News: “After a lovely evening we wanted to go out for something to eat and unfortunately I ended up in a situation that you would rather avoid.”
Apparently he didn’t manage to avoid a physical confrontation on King’s Day either.
