Michael Kors launches first children’s fashion line

The US fashion label Michael Kors is launching its first kidswear line in stores for the spring of 2022. On Monday, the Capri Holdings company announced that it had entered into a partnership with the French children’s fashion specialist Children Worldwide Fashion (CWF) to expand its range. CWF is already developing kidswear products from well-known labels such as Givenchy, Chloé, Boss, Lanvin and Kenzo, explained Michael Kors.

The first result of the now agreed collaboration, which includes clothing and accessories for girls and boys, is a Michael Kors collection for girls between the ages of four and 14 for the coming spring. It was inspired by the label’s existing women’s fashion range and is available in Michael Kors’ digital flagship stores, at selected retail partners such as Galeries Lafayette, Zalando, Ounass and Salam stores, and through the CWF sales network, the company said.

“We are excited to enter the children’s fashion market together with CWF,” said Josh Schulman, CEO of Michael Kors, in a statement. The new partner has “incomparable expertise in translating luxury fashion brands into children’s clothing and accessories”, emphasized Schulman and emphasized the great potential of the label in the new segment: “The sportswear influence that forms the core of Michael Kors , is perfect for the kids’ fashion market and we look forward to sharing this tremendous opportunity with CWF, ”said Schulman.
