Have you always wanted to own a Michael Jackson glove covered in diamonds? Then this is your chance. On Saturday, seven special items from the King of Pop will go under the hammer in Tilburg.

It’s been sixteen years since a shock wave swept the world. Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009. His musical legacy remains immense to this day.

His songs can still be heard every day on the radio. In many music lists, such as the Top 900 of Omroep Brabant, you will find songs by The King of Pop. The true fans will do everything they can to get a ‘piece’ of Michael Jackson.

There will be a unique opportunity for them on Saturday. Seven of Jackson’s items are going under the hammer at Dutch Auction Company in Tilburg. A pair of shoes that he wore during a concert in Berlin in 1992. Two jackets that hung around his shoulders and a hat from 1993 that he wore regularly.

What is the showpiece?
The highlight of the auction is a glove covered with Swarovski diamonds that Wacko Jacko wore during his History World Tour in 1996. He also performed with it in the Netherlands. “The estimated yield of the glove is between thirty and fifty thousand euros,” says Richard Singh, co-founder of Dutch Auction Company. “But previous auctions have shown that with international interest from the United States and China, among others, this amount can easily double. If there are a number of bidders who want that glove at all costs, it can easily increase.”

Authenticity guaranteed
Singh can prove that the items auctioned on Saturday actually belonged to Michael Jackson. “These items come from a serious collector from Spain. There are certificates of authenticity and other documents.”

Singh and the Dutch Auction Company are well known in the music and Hollywood world. That is why the Spanish collector came to them to auction these items. Singh knows he will have a special afternoon on Saturday. “Above all, it is a lot of fun. It is an honor that you can auction and collect these types of objects. I am really proud of that.”

Online bidding
Thursday and Friday are viewing days at the Dutch Auction Company. The auction starts at one o’clock on Saturday afternoon. Bidders can bid live in Tilburg, but also online. Not much later it becomes known what Jackson’s glove covered with Swarovski diamonds is worth.
