The course in Mexico City is popular with fans and drivers. Now it is clear: there will also be races in the metropolis in the coming years.
Formula 1 will also be guest in Mexico City in the coming years. As the racing series announced on Wednesday, the contract with the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez was extended up to and including 2028.
Since returning in 2015, the race in the Mexican capital has been an integral part of the calendar. Among other things, the route runs through an earlier baseball stadium and is equally popular with drivers and fans.
Formula 1 Managing Director Stefano Domenicali praised the special atmosphere about the event: the premier class stands for energy, passion and emotions-and that is exactly what impressively expresses the atmosphere in Mexico city every year. This year’s Mexico Grand Prix is scheduled from October 24th to 26th.
