A car caught fire on the Hoofdweg in Amsterdam-West at the beginning of the evening. It was a taxi.
The fire broke out just after 6 p.m. Images from bystanders show that meter-high flames had arisen. The fire brigade quickly got the fire under control.
The taxi is a total loss.
