Messi and Mbappé push PSG to the top

French soccer champions Paris Saint-Germain have regained the lead in Ligue 1.

The star ensemble beat OGC Nice, coached by former Bundesliga coach Lucien Favre, 2-1 (1-0) at home.

The six-time world footballer Lionel Messi scored a remarkable free kick to make it 1-0 after being brought down by ex-Bundesliga professional Dante (28th). In the second half, the guests from Nice came into play better and immediately equalized – Gaetan Laborde scored from close range (47th).

However, PSG was undeterred: world champion Kylian Mbappé scored the winning goal in the final phase (83rd). After nine games, Paris is two points ahead of Olympique Marseille, who briefly took the lead.
