The legal proceedings of the suspects detained within the scope of the “Betting on Football” investigation have been completed at the Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate of the Istanbul Police.
Within the scope of the investigation, where detention orders were given for a total of 46 people, 27 of whom were football players, 39 suspects, including Fenerbahçe Sports Club’s football player Mert Hakan Yandaş, Former Adana Demirspor President Murat Sancak, Referee Zorbay Küçük, Galatasaray football player Metehan Baltacı and Trabzonspor football player Salih Malkoçoğlu, were sent to the courthouse.
20 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED
The interrogation of 29 suspects who were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest has been completed. 20 suspects, including Mert Hakan Yandaş, Metehan Balta, Murat Sancak, Allassanr Ndao, Ersen Dikmen and Şahin Kaya, were arrested. If there was a request for arrest, the 9 suspects who were referred were released on the condition of judicial control. Thus, the number of suspects released under judicial control increased to 19.
Metehan Baltacı, Murat Sancak, Alassane Ndao, Mert Hakan Yandaş and Ahmet Okatan were arrested.
