Secretly taken nude photos of the Finnish actress leaked onto the internet a few years ago.

A Finnish actress was the victim of a burglary in a swimming pool. The swimming hall in the picture is not related to the case. BATTLE OF SAND HILL

The Finnish actor who was a victim of surreptitious photography was surprised when the charges in the criminal case against him were dropped.

The District Court of Helsinki dismissed the charges brought against the 73-year-old man for spreading information that violates private life. According to the prosecutor, a well-known sports photographer snuck naked men he didn’t know in a swimming pool and published the pictures on an online forum.

Among those secretly photographed was a well-known Finnish actor.

The pictures were not actually taken and shared, but according to the district court, it was not shown that the perpetrator was the man who was indicted.

– I’m a little surprised, the actor commented to Iltalehte about the court’s decision.

He does not appear in the story under his own name due to the sensitivity of the subject.

The actor says that he hasn’t come across any snoops taken from him.

– Of course, that thought has occurred to me if those pictures come across somewhere.

– This matter can now be for me. So much energy has been spent on this. I want to pay attention to other things.

Expired on the police desk

The case is exceptional, because it already had time to expire on the police’s desk once, but the investigation was started again with tougher criminal titles.

In 2023, the expiration of the criminal case caused a big uproar. At the time, the Finnish actor himself wondered how the police could not complete the investigation.

– It annoys me that resources have been put into this (investigation). Thus, in the eyes of a layman, the palette seemed to be ready, that it contained the suspect, the victim of the crime, the instruments of the crime and the evidence. Then a couple of years pass and a letter arrives that the crime has expired, he told Iltalehte.

According to the Helsinki District Court, the evidence was only indirect evidence. It was not possible to prove in court that the account that posted the pictures on the online forum belonged to the man from Helsinki.

In the court’s opinion, the police’s preliminary investigation was weak in terms of evidence.

– Each piece of written evidence has a comparatively weak probative value, especially when you take into account that the written evidence has mostly been about memos drawn up by the preliminary investigation authority and not about a concrete and individualized explanation of what pictures or other material [syytetyn] has been found on the computer, the district court stated.

The judgment is not binding.
