Meme stock GameStop on the NYSE is still weaker: GameStop makes less loss

The US video game retailer GameStop presented its figures for the past quarter on Wednesday after trading on Wall Street.

In the second quarter of 2023, GameStop’s EPS was -$0.03 per share, after the computer gaming and entertainment software retail chain lost $0.35 per share in the same period last year. Expert forecasts for the reporting period were for EPS of -0.14 US dollars per share.

GameStop reported quarterly revenue of $1.164 billion. The analysts had expected in advance that the US group’s sales in the second quarter would be around the same level as the previous year at USD 1.14 billion.

In trading on the NYSE, GameStop shares temporarily fell by 0.40 percent to $18.68, according to the figures.
