Flemish Deputy Prime Minister Melissa Depraetere and her partner have happy news: their daughter Cécile has been born. The girl was born on February 14, nine weeks premature and weighing 1,150 grams.
The birth follows a difficult pregnancy. Depraetere previously stopped working on doctor’s advice to limit the risk of premature birth. “The health of her baby is the only thing that matters at the moment,” she said at the time.
