Martien Meiland and his life partner Erica have decided to split their guesthouse, Code Rosé, which they have struggled to sell. The plan involves the development of a reality soap around this venture.

The Meiland family has found themselves in a dilemma: having purchased the guesthouse for their TV show, Code Rosé, they now cannot seem to sell it. The property has been on the market for years, and with each passing month, the asking price drops, yet no buyers are showing interest. Patty Brard has weighed in, noting that it is more of a set piece intended for filming than a traditional guesthouse.

Plans for Splitting the Property

So what will happen to the Meiland guesthouse in Noordwijk? “Great news,” says reporter Thom Goderie on Shownieuws. “A colleague of ours lives in Noordwijk, and you might be wondering where this conversation is heading. But local government bulletins always include zoning changes and municipal planning announcements.”

He continues, “In this case, a zoning plan amendment has been requested for the address of Code Rosé, which has been for sale since 2024. A splitting permit has now been requested, so I thought I’d call Martien.”

Martien’s Confirmation

What does Martien have to say about this? “Yeah, I called Martien, and he was watching soccer,” says Goderie. “I thought, ‘Is that really your thing?’ But he kept it brief, confirming: ‘Yes, we’re going to split it. Soon there will be two ads on Funda.’”

He adds, “So the property will be divided and sold, but this could also lead to a new reality show. Perhaps we will get to see the entire process of splitting and transforming Code Rosé on television.”

Studio guest Albert Verlinde humorously concludes, “What if the Hanslers move in next door? Hahaha.”
