We know them from their chic castle in France, but in the new VTM2 program ‘De Meilandjes without money’, the flamboyant family of Martien Meiland (60) omits all luxury. For a month they exchange their million-dollar house for a modest rental house and they have to get by on a living wage. In the first episode, the family discovers their new home. “How small it is”, daughter Maxime (26) exclaims immediately. “And there’s carpet on the floor.
