Reinforcement for the midfield: Eintracht Braunschweig tinkers on the squad for the coming season – and dukes the next transfer. The new comes from a league competitor.

Eintracht Braunschweig has made another summer transfer perfect. As the BTSV announced on Wednesday afternoon, Mehmet Can Aydin changes to the Oker. The right outdoor car player was last under contract with Liga competitor FC Schalke 04. His contract was expired there at the end of the season. In Braunschweig, the 23-year-old signed a working paper valid until 2027.

Sports Managing Director Benjamin Kessel is pleased about the obligation that had not announced in the vicinity of Eintracht. “With Mehmet Can Aydin we get a young player who already has experience from U-National teams, the first and second Bundesliga and the Turkish Süper Lig, but is still able to develop,” said Kessel.

In the course of his career, Aydin had stopped at Borussia Mönchengladbach, Schalke 04 and the Turkish first division club Trabzonspor. He has a total of 47 second division missions and 20 games in the Süper Lig. Last season he was on the lawn in 31 competitive games for S04 and contributed three templates. Its market value is estimated by the “Transfermarkt.de” data portal to one million euros.

Kessel is convinced of the qualities of the newcomer: “Mehmet can play on the right rail, but also at the half positions in the center and brings a lot of mentality,” says the BTSV boss. “He leaves his heart on the pitch, can go a high level of intensity and is variable with the ball.”

Aydin herself is also looking forward to anticipation: “I still know some teammates from my time on Schalke, so I will hopefully just get used to it. I have already played in the Eintracht stadium and know what energy can come from the stands.

In addition to Aydin, the BTSV had already signed central defender Lukas Frenkert (Prussia Münster) in the current transfer period. In addition, there are the fixed obligations of the loan Lino Tempelmann and Ron-Thorben Hoffmann (both Schalke).
