The rapper, who was sentenced to ten years in prison, is said to have harassed Stallion online through third parties.

Megan Thee Stallion has filed for a restraining order against Tory Lanez after he allegedly harassed her through third parties online.

In August 2023, Lanez, who is from Canada, was sentenced to ten years in prison for shooting Stallion in the foot as he left a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in 2020. A court found him guilty on all three charges: assault with a semi-automatic weapon, carrying a concealed, loaded and unregistered weapon in a vehicle and grossly negligent discharge of a weapon.

“Repeated Trauma and Revictimization” by Megan Thee Stallion

On Tuesday, December 17, Megan Jovan Ruth Pete (real name of Megan Thee Stallion) reportedly filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court alleging that Lanez was harassing her from prison through third parties, according to The Associated Press . Prison call logs at the California State Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, California, confirm that Lanez deliberately sought to undermine her credibility.

Allegedly several bloggers spread online in the name of Daystar Peterson (real name of Tory Lanez) false claims about the shooting incident and circulated that the gun he used and bullet fragments were missing as evidence. “Even now, while behind bars, Mr. Peterson shows no signs of stopping,” it said. “Despite his sentence to 10 years in prison for attacking Ms. Pete, Mr. Peterson continues to subject her to repeated trauma and revictimization.”

Hearing will take place in January 2025

The letter also states that a protective order originally issued to prevent previous harassment has now expired. The lawyers of the rapper, who comes from Houston, Texas, point out that this limited period of time is generally associated with difficulties for those affected.

A court hearing on the application is scheduled for January 9, 2025. Lanez’s lawyers have not yet commented on the action.
