Megan Fox recently confirmed that she and her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly, aka Colson Baker, drink each other’s blood for ritual purposes. Though she stressed the amounts were tiny, the couple have now received warnings from people who should know.
Vampire community tunes in
According to NME, “senior members of the vampire community” stepped in to inform Fox and Baker that blood consumption should be treated with caution as a matter of urgency.
The actress announced her engagement to Baker in a post on Instagram last November. The video that captured the proposal was captioned with emotional words about the relationship. A few lines later came the announcement that they were drinking each other’s blood.
She recently reiterated that statement, laughing: “I guess drinking each other’s blood might mislead people into thinking we have chalices and we’re like ‘Game of Thrones’.” . It’s not quite like that, says Fox. It would only be “small drops”.
Precautions should be taken before consuming blood
TMZ reported that Belfazaar Ashantison, co-founder of the New Orleans Vampire Association (NOVA), urged the two to take “reasonable precautions” before using. This would include “testing for possible diseases as well as blood-borne diseases”. After all, not even vampires are immune to such, according to Ashantison.
According to its website, the New Orleans Vampire Association represents “all those who view the vampiric state as a matter of energy, to those for whom it is an issue of biology, spirituality, ethnic identity, or biospirituality.”
Father Sebastiaan, founder of the “Endless Night Vampire Ball”, also from New Orleans, also advises caution. He refers in particular to the withdrawal of the blood. In his opinion, this should only be carried out by medical professionals.
Similar bizarre details of Fox and Baker’s relationship have previously been reported. The musician wore a chain with her blood around his neck for Valentine’s Day and the couple’s engagement rings are also rather special: they are said to be studded with thorns so that taking off the ring is painful.
