Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said, opening the meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Science and Education, that Presidential Aide Andrei Fursenko would not be able to take part in it.
“Unfortunately, Andrei Aleksandrovich Fursenko fell ill. He was our main speaker on all these issues. Therefore, we regrouped our forces a little,” Medvedev said.
He expressed the hope that other members of the Presidium of the Council would make relevant reports. RIA News.
Medvedev also noted in his speech that there are many problems in Russia in the development and production of drugs for the prevention and treatment of new infectious diseases. Among them are the lack of personnel, competencies, the lack of laboratories for conducting preclinical studies, the lack of conditions for the production of domestic equipment, raw materials and materials, difficulties with the prompt launch of drugs on the domestic market, poor interaction with specialized international organizations. “We need to work with such organizations, because otherwise no one will simply see us in this world,” the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council emphasized.
To move forward in solving these problems, in his opinion, the creation of a platform for rapid response to infections will help. But here everything needs to be accurately calculated and worked out, writes TASS.
Earlier, Medvedev expressed the opinion that it makes no sense to negotiate with the current leadership of Ukraine, pointing to his anti-Russian orientation. Therefore, Medvedev explained, he does not feel any disappointment in relation to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council also believes that the Russian economy can switch from settlements in dollars to settlements in euros or yuan. Russian energy resources will be bought under any sanctions, so settlements in other currencies will remain, and the convertibility of the ruble will remain, Medvedev said in an interview with leading Russian media.
