As the “Bild”, “Sky” and the sports information service reported unanimously on Thursday evening (01/27/2022), Max Eberl and the Bundesliga soccer team are leaving Borussia Monchengladbach separate ways after 23 years. From when is not known. There was also no confirmation from the club at first.
Eberl joined Borussia as a player in January 1999, and in October 2008 he took over the post of sports director after the “foals” had been promoted to the Bundesliga. As a result, he built up a Borussia with limited funds, which three times for the Champions League qualified.
Gladbach is currently in a real sporting crisis. With a largely cohesive and supposedly well-rehearsed squad from last season, which many Borussia fans consider to be the most nominally talented in recent years, BMG is only in a disappointing twelfth place. Gladbach is only four points ahead of the direct relegation zone.
