Fürth wanted to keep Leitl
The current 96 coach Christoph Dabrowski is still fighting for his job. “It’s clear that I’m in the mood to continue here,” said the 43-year-old in a media round. Dabrowski’s contract expires after the end of this season. Sports director Marcus Mann only wants to talk about new contracts for coaches and players once they have secured their place in the class.
As Sky reports, Fürth would have liked to continue working with Leitl, but the coach is now making use of an exit clause in his contract, which is actually valid until 2023. Nothing is officially known about a transfer fee. Leitl took over the club in 2019 and sensationally managed to get promoted the previous year. Since last weekend, the relegation of the tail light has already been determined.
