Behind the stage name Zouj is a man named Adam Abdelkader Lenox-Belhaj. The producer with French, Moroccan and American roots lives and works in Leipzig and was active in the noise pop band Lingua Nada before his solo career. As his label City Slang states, Zouj’s mission is nothing less than “discovering and evolving what modern pop music should sound like and, more importantly, feel like”. You can find out for yourself which path Zouj is currently on: His current single “One!” was released in May.
