The incident, which took place during the friendly match in which the French National Team beat Colombia 3-1, became a trending topic on social media. Real Madrid’s star player, Kylian Mbappe, came under fire from football fans after disrespecting N’Golo Kante while entering the game from the bench in the 78th minute.
After Mbappe requested Rayan Cherki to bring Kante’s captain’s armband, Cherki removed the armband from the 35-year-old experienced midfielder’s arm and gave it to him.
Kante, who played for Fenerbahçe in the Trendyol Super League, started the match in the first 11 as captain. While those moments were described as “disrespectful” by users on social media, some comments pointed out that Mbappe behaved “like a dictator” wherever he went.
