Superstar Kylian Mbappé has risen to become the record goalscorer for French champions Paris St. Germain in the Champions League with one goal.
The striker scored his 31st goal for the French against Benfica (1-1) and overtook Edinson Cavani (30 goals) in the internal ranking.
Overall, it was Mbappé’s 37th goal in the premier class, which reduced the gap in the “eternal” scorer list to leader Cristiano Ronaldo (140 goals). Team-mate Lionel Messi (127 goals) missed the Lisbon match with a calf problem, while Neymar (42 goals) failed to score.
